This 2-color, full-page ad was placed in the February 20, 1971 issue of
Billboard Magazine. It announced the release of the group's second single,
"Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted" which peaked at #6 on the charts in
March, 1971. "Up To Date" was released in February on the heels of the
success of "Album". Interestingly, the four Studio Singers (Tom Bahler, John
Bahler, Jackie Ward & Ron Hicklin) were also represented on Ray Conniff &
Singers' "Love Story (Where Do I Begin)" album, which was released the same
month on Columbia Records, proving just how prolific the Fab Four really
were.

This full-page 2-color ad appeared in Billboard Magazine on September 4,
1971 -- the same day that "Sound Magazine" peaked at number 9 on the record
charts. It announces the estimated sales of 1,000,000 copies -- which it
actually reached on September 27, 1971. The album, released on August 25th,
took just 2 weeks to go gold. The first single from this album, "I Woke Up
In Love This Morning" was released on August 18th and spent 11 weeks on
Billboard's charts, peaking at #13. The Partridge Family may have been just
a TV band, but its albums were outselling many of the more "legitimate" acts
of the day.
