My only "brush with velvet" wasn't an actual meeting, but when I was about 8 years old, and a paid-up member of the official Partridge Family fanclub, I wrote a letter to Brian Forster, (Chris #2) (Does ANYONE know what the first Chris, Jeremy Gelbwaks is doing today??? He was my fave!) Anyway, I wrote to Brian & asked for an autographed photo for me & also one for my best friend Debbie. I included both of our addresses and sure enough, about 2 months later, I got a personally autographed photo in the mail. The best part was when my friend excitedly told me that she too had gotten one, & had no idea how he could have gotten her address! I know I still have mine in a photo album. It was one of my first celebrity autographs, & I have been a collector of such things ever since (going on 28 years later!)
