CBS's publicity department sent photos to newspapers and TV related magazines to promote their new series as well. Here is the press release sent out for The Partridge Family: 2200 A.D.

In order to promote their new series, Hanna-Barbera's artists assisted their publicity department in churning out artwork to send to news and TV organizations. These publicity pieces were created by artist Jack Manning, well-known for his work in comic books. Animation cels were created from his art, and 35mm slides were sent to magazines and newspapers. Shown here are all of the publicity pieces created for the series:

Fan mail was answered by Hanna-Barbera's publicity department as well. When kids wrote to their favorite cartoon characters, the studio sent these black and white photos -- taken from Jack Manning's designs:
